Re: installer or zip?

The ZIP doesn't come with installer. It just includes the exe, help files, and Release Notes. If you have any hesitation, I would suggest going with the installer.

Re: Pasting: Delete and Jump to Next Entry

I gave this some thought over the weekend and I think I would like to see a new item type. I've called this structure a 'ladder' as i've considered it. The core concept of the ladder is that you begin on the bottom rung and 'step on' all the rungs until you have reached the end. 'Stepping on' rungs ...

Re: Pasting: Delete and Jump to Next Entry

Stewox - I like this idea and would use this regularly. There are several instances where I will copy several portions of text or code for use in another document or script. I like the idea of being able to have 3DC automatically select the next item in your history should you turn that feature on. ...

Version 1.5 - Template Examples

Since version 1.5 of 3DClipboard (3DC) was recently released with the great new feature of Templates, I thought I would throw one out there to show some of the functionality that it could be used for. Since I do a fair bit of Oracle programming, I created the template below to give me a skeleton fun...

Re: Shorten URL with Bitly

So, why did you leave my name in the comments? I don't think I was the author of that code. :ugeek:

Re: Shorten URL with Bitly

No problem. I was really trying to illustrate that you can make Web API calls and manipulate the clipboard with the returned values. I hope this is an adequate example to show that concept. Web APIs could really extend the functionality of what you do. How many different Google APIs could you call t...

Spell Check

This Action will create a MS Word Document and use that to check the spelling of the current clipboard item. This Action is far from perfect, but it does illustrate the concept of spell checking fairly well. I'm sure a better programmer than I could make this Action better...   'Author: Austin James...

[ADDED in 1.5] Sticky Items

Wouldn't it be great to see a feature where certain items would always be present on the list of available clipboard items? I hate it when a commonly used item (e.g. email address) falls off the list of stored items becuase I've had to paste 50 different snippets of SQL/HTML/PHP/VBScript code!

Sticky Item Workaround

I have wanted specific items on my clipboard to always be available on my clipboard. I built a small Action that will read a text file on my hard drive and insert the contents onto my clipboard. The downside to this work around is that I need an Action and a file on my HD for every string I would li...
